We REALLY enjoyed our weekend there in Cozy Cabin this past weekend. We
forgot to write in your guestbook, so I wanted to send you a personal
thank you. My husband actually did not get to come, so it was me and my
sister. We are extremely close and both so busy, times like this
weekend are so hard to come by.
We enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi and
sipping on "Pumpkin Beer" under a full, harvest moon. The weather
couldn't have been better for the market days. We met lots of
wonderful, very friendly people while we shopped in town. A real
country breakfast was hard for us to come by, as we didn't seem to want
to "rise and shine...early".
This little cabin is my "dream home"
someday. Maybe a little more closet space, if I were living in it! I
will definitely recommend it to all of my friends who would love a
really great getaway, even close to home. Thanks for EVERYTHING!! I

The Arroyo place was very nice and clean and modern inside. My daughter and I enjoyed
it very much. I hope to keep this one in mind when the rest of my brothers and sisters want

"What a lovely place!
The owner was very sweet, and was so appreciative of the fact that we chose their rental.
It was very clean, well-maintained, and the large windows with direct views of the creek were fantastic! (Owner has wonderful decorating taste; even our hubbies complimented the decor)
Plenty of butterflies & birds, and we even saw a fawn the morning before we left...
We'll be sure to let our friends know about Arroyo, and we plan to visit again as well.
I highly recommend this property for anyone who enjoys peace, quiet, and nature.

We did not find the swimming area, but drove over to ranch 7 and parked there for the girls to swim.

First - Thanks so much for suggesting this home. I was concerned but it
turned out to be perfect. I loved the seclusion, but it took little time to
get where we wanted to go. Both George and I were so pleasantly surprised
and we had an absolutely fabulous time. I have recommended this home to
several of my friends and will certainly be calling to see if I can reserve
it again for a weekend getaway. I have decided the floor plan for this
house is exactly what I would want when I retire! I even wrote down the
paint color, etc.
Again - tell the owners it was absolutely great and the deer that walked up
early each morning was extra special!

My co-mother-in-law (meaning her son is married to my daughter) and I returned last evening from three days at the Arroyo house in Wimberley. It was lovely,
and we had a wonderful time doing absolutely NOTHING! We stayed in our pajamas until noon, went into town for lunch, came back and sat on the deck until
evening, and enjoyed the hot tub. I had been at the Arroyo before, and will look forward to coming back again. It was so peaceful and so conducive to relaxation.
It was so what we both needed.

My husband and I stayed at Canyon Vista last weekend. It was exactly like the pictures! We loved it. There were so many deer and the scenery was amazing.
We only left the cabin one time to go for a drive and we walked up "Old Baldy". The cabin was very cozy from the lighting to the comfortable couch and the bed was so nice.
We ate breakfast on the front porch and watched the sun rise and cooked dinner on the grill. The hot tub and hammock was also a treat.
Thank you very much for the memorable weekend. We plan to make this a yearly treat now.....

I've enjoyed the stay in that lovely home, Blanco Falls I can't begin to explain the beauty and all the furnishings, interior design, cleanness, bird
feeders outside the kitchen window. The Blanco River just distance away from the patios.
Myself, and (3) ladies had a happy girl's day out - went shopping to all the little shops and ate at some of the restaurants.

Sorry it has taken me so long to tell you what a wonderful
time The Howe family had at 7 Star Ranch on Memorial Day weekend.
The home is lovely. We loved fishing in the river ... swimming in the
great pool. We even made s'mores in the fire pit by the pool one evening. Except to go
to Brookshire's we didn't leave 7 Star at all! We loved sitting on
the porch, cooking steaks on the grill, and just being together in such a
wonderful setting. Don't be surprised..if you hear from us soon wanting to come back to 7
Star Ranch for another long weekend!!!! We all agree it was perfect.

weekend. The Sunset Guest House was pleasantly more than I expected.
The pictures on the website just don't say enough for the beautiful
views and cozy, yet spacious, house. Everyone that I talked to
throughout the booking process, including you, was so helpful and always
extremely nice!
This was all very important to me as I was planning on having a big
weekend. I proposed to my girlfriend Brooke on Saturday at sunset,
overlooking the beautiful Hill Country. We then had a small celebration
at the Mandola Vineyard for dinner which was a suggestion of someone
that works there (I think her name was Rosa?). I can honestly say that
this weekend was not only the perfect weekend, but it was the absolute
best weekend of my life. We will be coming back for years to come!

What a delightful acomodation you put us up in. From the

The JP did come out and marry us Tuesday evening in front of the waterfall (luckily the rain showers held off). This was exactly
the ideal little place that I had in my mind to exchange vows. And we cannot say enough about the cabin. It was perfect.
Our only regret is that we had to leave. One more day would have been great. I cried closing the door.....

My friend Lisa and myself stayed this weekend at the Cabana. I just
wanted to let you know how nice our weekend was at the property. The view
was breathtaking and the accommodations were unbelievable. It was nice to
have one night all to ourselves. We sat by the pool and talked until 11:00
on Friday.

not see everything we had set out to see.

WOW. that's about the most encompassing statement I can make. My son was
the first to arrive, and he was so taken with the house he drove back up the
road until he had cell service and called us. "Dad, you're going to love
this." He said. And he was right. We had initially scheduled time in
Wimberley for shopping/sightseeing. However, the property was so
captivating we only left one time for a quick trip for ice and incidentals.
We have yet to experience Wimberley.
Josie, your web site does not do justice to Lejos. I hale from the hills of
East Tennessee, and Lejos reminds me so much of a very rural area where my
grandparents lived (hills, natural springs, wildlife, etc.).
Monday we left Lejos, more relaxed than I can remember. Folks here at work
noticed my attitude "change" this week. That's a good thing.
The Matthews family will return to Wimberly for next year's "family
weekend". I'll be in contact later in the year to reserve Lejos, or perhaps
another of your properties.

I just wanted to follow-up and say thank you for recommending the Texas Star for our stay. We absolutely LOVED it and are hoping to
plan another "get away" to it soon. It was perfect!
It's decorated in a way that we love. As a matter of fact, we took pictures of the green in the master BR and went home and painted
our bedroom that color on Monday!
We would absolutely love to buy a place in Wimberley and fix it up to either rent or use ourselves. But, until we can make
that happen, we've found our favorite place. We will be back!

This is the second time I have been there to see the various private properties that are available for rental for a getaway
weekend and have enjoyed it so much that I am passing along the news to you.
In my two trips, I have stayed at private properties with acreage on the Blanco River and passed my time counting deer
in the front yard. Rates run from $125ish/night to $1,000/night if you want to stay in a $2 million home on the river
with every amenity none to modern man.
Not trying to sell you anything, I have no dog in this hunt, but I was so impressed and refreshed from my two trips
over the last 14 months that I wanted to pass along this info.
I know music lovers tend to travel a little more so I thought this might be something useful for you.
If you are looking for some time away (2 days or 2 months) away from the DFW Metromess (but not too far) with civilization
nearby (but not too close), check 'em out.

Hi Josie,
I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at the Sunset
house this weekend.
We were impressed from the moment we drove in the driveway and walked up to
the deck and saw the deer grazing down below. We arrived about 5:30, just
in time to enjoy the bottle of wine and relax on the deck before venturing
in to town to look for a place to eat dinner. When we arrived back at the
Sunset house it was dark so we decided to eat earlier the next night to
watch the sunset from the deck. The kitchen was a bit small which was fine
so it didi not encourage more cooking than just breakfast. The bed was so
comfortable we slept like logs! If it had been a little colder we would have
enjoyed the fireplace in the bedroom. We will definitely plan to rent again
as it was just what we needed to rest and relax.

The accommodations (Sunset Guest House) were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the fireplace; just flip the switch and whoosh, there
was fire.
The deer were there with their hooves out, as described. Saturday morning I walked out and there they were, looking at me like
where have you been. I found the corn and I think that satisfied them. We never saw a sunset, but did get to see the valley
Sunday morning. Aside from the shopping, we did get to visit the olive orchard, a worth while trip, as well as the glass works.

We have only been home a few hours from our fabulous holiday at Climbing Way,
and we are still replaying what turned out to be a wonderful Thanksgiving
getaway! The house was just perfect, the weather unexpectedly beautiful.
Thursday was spent on the top deck with the warm sun on our back, a jigsaw
puzzle in the works on the picnic table and soothing jazz coming from the
kitchen CD player as our turkey roasted away in the oven. Thank you for
